Dry, cold weather can cause skin to lose hydration and start to flake and chafe. Wearing a scarf or using cheap lotions can also make you break out with acne. Who wants to show up for Christmas looking like that? Fortunately, the HydraFacial® can clear up congested skin, shrink enlarged pores, and give you the hydration you need for a holiday glow.
At Associated Dermatologists, with locations in West Bloomfield, Commerce, Novi, and Berkeley, Michigan, our team of expert skin care providers has three different spins on the HydraFacial to give you the precise results you need.
How the HydraFacial works
Forget seaweed wraps, mud baths, and cucumber slices. The new take on the facial is here, and it’s pure hydration! At Associated Dermatologists, we chose the HydraFacial system to deliver optimal results even in the coldest months, and have developed our own upgrades to keep your skin soft, supple, and smooth year-round.
Keeping it simple: the Classic version
The Classic HydraFacial consists of three-steps. First, your technician combines lactic, glycolic, and salicylic acids to soften and exfoliate your skin in a hydra-dermabrasion process. Then they use a tool that works with HydraFacial’s vortex technology to extract dead skin cells and impurities. The HydraFacial ends with an antioxidant and peptide-rich infusion of hyaluronic acid applied topically to your skin.
Looking for more hydration? Try the Signature version
Our Signature HydraFacial picks up where the Claissc leaves off, adding a booster topical followed by LED light therapy to really drive the hydration deep. Choose from a DermaBuilder add-on that contains skin conditioning peptides to minimize the appearance of wrinkles and fine lines, or Britenol to specifically target and remediate sun-damaged skin and dark spots.
Going all out: the Deluxe version
The Deluxe HydraFacial is our most decadent HydraFacial treatment, using the Classic as a springboard to a final application of growth factor booster and LED light therapy to further reduce the appearance of imperfections on your face and provide a youthful, regenerated glow.
Your HydraFacial will only take about 30 minutes, and you can go right back to your day. You can even wear makeup right after your treatment! You can have a HydraFacial once a month, if desired, to maintain your smooth, fresh look.
Most people suffer no side effects at all from this treatment, while a few experience mild side effects like temporary redness of the facial skin and potentially some mild tenderness or swelling. These should wear off quickly, though, and the discomfort can be addressed with a cold pack applied for 10 minutes at a time to the affected areas.
