Microdermabrasion

Microdermabrasion is a non-invasive procedure to treat uneven skin tone and texture.

What is it?

As we age, our skin begins to lose its elasticity, and our collagen and elastin protein production slows down, causing our skin to appear dull and become more susceptible to damage, scarring and spots.  Microdermabrasion is a non-invasive cosmetic procedure that exfoliates the skin by removing dead skin cells and promoting cell turnover, resulting in a smoother and more radiant complexion. It also improves the appearance of skin affected by sun exposure, minimizing fine lines and wrinkles leaving behind refreshed and radiant skin!


Microdermabrasion is suitable for men and women of all ages and skin types.  

What to expect

Microdermabrasion uses a unique applicator with an abrasive surface to lightly and gently sand away the outer layer of the skin, scraping away dead skin cells.  During the treatment, you may feel as though your skin is being “scraped.” This feeling is normal and not painful. The treatment typically takes between 20 minutes to an hour, depending on the area being treated. 


After treatment, your skin may appear slightly pink or flushed, but this usually subsides within a few hours, leaving your skin smooth, fresh and glowing. An added benefit is your skin care products will more effectively penetrate your skin because the dry, dead skin cells have been removed.
