Coolsculpting®

CoolSculpting® is a fat reduction treatment that targets and permanently destroys stubborn areas of fat. Results are permanent, proven, and noticeable.

What is it?

CoolSculpting® is the only FDA cleared, non-invasive cosmetic procedure that utilizes controlled cooling to freeze and eliminate stubborn fat cells from targeted areas of the body. Over time, the body naturally processes and eliminates these frozen fat cells, resulting in a more contoured and sculpted appearance without the need for surgery or downtime.


Our team at Associated Dermatologists can treat unwanted belly fat, love handles (flanks), inner and outer thighs, chin, upper and lower back, bra fat, upper arms, and the area underneath the buttocks (banana roll). What to expect

During your treatment, a gel pad and applicator are applied to the targeted area. Controlled cooling is then delivered to the targeted fat. You may feel intense cold, however this sensation typically subsides within minutes as the area becomes numb. Cooling is applied for 35 to 45 minutes per area, depending on the area being treated.


When fat cells are exposed to cold temperatures, they crystallize, while skin, muscle tissue, and nerves are unaffected. Following treatment, the body then breaks down unwanted fat cells and excretes them through the lymphatic system. Adults have a set number of fat cells that expand with weight gain and shrink with fat loss. Because treatment removes a portion of these fat cells, results are permanent, and your ability to store fat in these areas will be lowered. Patients see an average of 20-23% noticeable fat reduction with CoolSculpting.
