About Your Provider
Annabella Akouri, PA-C, is a board-certified physician assistant specializing in general dermatology at Associated Dermatologists, seeing patients in West Bloomfield, Michigan. She provides comprehensive dermatologic care for patients of all ages, with a strong focus on skin cancer surveillance and prevention and the management of chronic skin conditions.
Annabella’s clinical interests include the diagnosis and treatment of acne vulgaris, atopic dermatitis (eczema), and psoriasis, as well as helping patients develop long-term skin health strategies through education and personalized care plans. She is dedicated to early detection, prevention, and ongoing monitoring of skin cancer to protect patients’ overall health and peace of mind.
Originally from West Bloomfield, MI, Annabella earned her Master of Science in Physician Assistant Studies from Wayne State University, where she received broad medical training and built a strong foundation in patient-centered care. She completed her Bachelor of Science in Human Biology at Michigan State University’s Lyman Briggs College. Prior to becoming a physician assistant, Annabella gained valuable hands-on experience working as a medical assistant and physical therapy aide.
Annabella is board certified by the National Commission on the Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA) and is an active member of the Society of Dermatology Physician Assistants (SDPA), Michigan Academy of Physician Assistants (MAPA), and the American Academy of Physician Assistants (AAPA). These affiliations allow her to stay current with the latest advances in dermatologic care and evidence-based treatments.
Known for her approachable and compassionate style, Annabella takes time to listen, educate, and collaborate with her patients. She believes that healthy skin starts with trust and strives to ensure every patient feels comfortable, informed, and confident throughout their dermatology journey.
